If you’re a theater owner, venue operator or booking agent and you’re looking for a proven, cost-effective show that you can put up quickly, Riding the Midnight Express with Billy Hayes is the ideal choice to fast track your venue’s return to live performances.
“A SENSATIONAL STORY…Intrinsic Power…Engrossing…” The New York Times
“Spellbinding…Charismatic…Hayes is a master storyteller” Times Square Chronicles
“Prime edge-of-the-seat stuff” CurtainUp
“A profound and illuminating theatrical experience that will leave you uplifted and inspired.
This is a performance not to be missed.”
“A remarkable tale which Hayes articulates with great charm, humor and energy. Part memoir, part thriller, part philosophical contemplation of freedom, this absorbing story proves Hayes to be a fascinating character and charismatic storyteller.”
This unique one-man show has had two runs Off-Broadway, at the renowned Barrow Street Theater and at St. Luke’s, in the heart of the theater district. It has been produced at The Odyssey Theater in Los Angeles, as well as in several other US cities. Internationally, Riding the Midnight Express with Billy Hayes has played at the Edinburgh Fringe twice, has been produced at London’s Soho Theatre, The Melbourne Comedy and Theatre Festival and presented at the Al Madina Theatre in Beirut, Lebanon by the esteemed Marwan Rahbani.
All Billy needs is a stool, a bottle of water and an enthusiastic audience.
All the production requires is a stage (minimum 20’ wide x 25’ deep with a 16’ clearance to grid), a backdrop, a reasonable lighting and tech package (we’re flexible), a projector, a board and operator and a couple of days of prep for rehearsal and tech. We can also supply marketing and promotional materials to support you in publicizing the engagement.
